About Me
About Me
Welcome, my name is Jennifer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, based in Orange County, California. I provide telehealth therapy for adults ages 18 and older. I have been providing therapy for 9 years now, however my own journey to becoming a therapist started much earlier. At a very young age I felt called to help others, so much so that it became a part of my personality. I find true meaning in assisting others navigate through challenging times.
I am a therapist but also a social worker- I believe in equality, social justice, and that everyone has the right to live a life they define for themselves on their terms. I also believe that every person deserves peace in their life, in whatever form this may take. I am a true believer in the power of kindness and giving a helping hand.
In my work I have found that for therapy to be the most effective, we must work TOGETHER in a collaborative effort. We should be partners in your treatment, with you leading the way. My therapy style is very warm, calm, caring and empathetic. As a therapist I believe you deserve to be heard, empathized and validated. You should never feel alone on this journey. I want you to feel that your session is a safe place, where you can express yourself in a non-judgemental environment as well as share any concerns you may have. I truly look forward to working with you!
Here is a little more about my background:
Over the years, I have worked with clients of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and ethnicities. I have experience working with individuals presenting with a variety of issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, dysfunctional family dynamics, anger, personality disorders, identity issues, stress management, and major life transitions. I have also worked with some of the most vulnerable populations in Orange County. This has included providing services to clients who are experiencing homelessness, clients with serious and persistent mental illness, and clients who are significantly socially disadvantaged.
I feel it to be an honor to have walked side by side with clients during some of their most difficult and trying times.
